Upon arrival you will be met and transfer to the selected hotel. After breakfast at hotel, spend 1 hour for 50 km drive to northeast of Siem Reap for trekking up to Phnom Kbal Spean. After a 30 minute walk in the forest, we will arrive at Sahasralina, the River of a Thousand Lingas. On the way back, we will stop at Banteay Srei, founded in 967. We also visit the landmine museum before spending a relaxing moment at the Butterfly garden, a restaurant that offers superb dining in an oasis with 1,500 tropical butterflies, while providing benefits to the community, back to town and overnight.
Today you will explore some more beautiful temples built during Cambodia’s golden age such as Pre Rup, Ta som, Neak Pean and Preah Khan. Then, last but not least, we will go to Ta Phrom, also known as the lost-in-the-jungle-temple. Afternoon, we will visit the Silk farm an applied research and vocational training center. Afterwards we will enjoy the open view onto the Western Baray, overnight in Siem Reap.
Early breakfast today then transfer for regular speedboat departing from Siem Reap at 7:00 am. During the 4 to 6 hours trip, crossing the Tonle Sap Lake, you will enjoy the wonderful landscape and the floating villages. Afternoon, we will visit the NGO Phare Ponleu Selpak where we will enjoy a circus performance by children from poor and disabled families, overnight in Battambang.
After breakfast you will take a Remork Moto (Tuk Tuk) drive to Phnom Sampeu. This mountain is the site of two caves formerly used by the Khmer Rouge to torture and kill some of their victims. Then continue to Phnom Bannon hill and climb the 337 steps to reach the top. It is outstanding view over the surrounding plains. A real life experience on the bamboo train during sunset will bring us back to Battambang, overnight.
After breakfast you will say good bye to Battambag for departure to the capital city of Phnom Penh. Along the way, you will stop by at Kampong Chhnang province for experience the pottery clay products. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, transfer to check in the selected hotel for shower and continue to Choeng Ek killing fields located 16 km from town and back to town for Tuol Sleng genocide Museum. This former high school in the suburbs of the capital was converted to a detention and torture center - known as Toul Sleng or S21 by the Khmers Rouges when they came to power in 1975. Then visit Russian market, it is the place to get souvenir in Cambodia, overnight in Phnom Penh.
Today after breakfast, we will go by Cyclo to the Royal Palace situated on the site of the former citadel and the Silver Pagoda which floor is made up of 5,000 silver blocks. We will continue to the National Museum, which offers a charming setting for the display of a stunning collection of Khmer art. Free at leisure till transfer to airport 2 hours before flight departure, end services.
