What you can expect

Begin your ‘like a local’ experience with pickup from your Siem Reap hotel and soak up the scenery as you journey out into the countryside. Along the way, admire a panorama of lush rice paddies, orchards and farmlands, and listen as your guide shares facts and anecdotes about life in rural Cambodia.

On arrival in your host village, the locals will be waiting to greet you and show you around. Follow your guide around the houses, markets and workshops, stopping to take photos and watch the villagers going about their daily lives. Watch displays of traditional handicrafts like basket weaving, see how local specialties like rice wine are made, or listen to some popular Khmer music.

Along the way, stop by the local school to meet the children, pose for photos with the villagers and peek into the village temple. Hear from your guide about the hardships of village life and learn about the importance of sustainable development projects, building wells for fresh water and securing employment for the villagers. 

After a memorable morning, head back to Siem Reap where your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.
