Day Tour: From 7:30 AM to evening

Assemble at our office at 7:30am and leave Banlung at 8:00am towards Vuensai district, there are various ethnic minority people living around this area. It takes 60minutes to drive to Vuensai.  So when we arrive there we can have a look at their busy small market, the earlier, the more vibrant and busier.

We take the ferry boat for around 20 minutes to cross the Se San river. On the other side we arrive at a minority village.

Once we get to Kavet community village called “La Lai”, we meet with the community trekking ranger from the Kavet tribe. Our English speaking will introduce him to you, the local ranger he doesn’t speak English but he knows the jungle like the back of his hand.

This is the starting point of the trek, so the guide and ranger will carry most of the stuff, like food and some water, while visitors help to carry their own and some extra things like two bottles of big water (1.5L per bottle).

First hour: Trekking through jungle patches and some old abandoned nomadic farms of this tribal people and reach the Virachey national park after 30 minutes walking and then trek inside the park.

Second hour: Cross a river where you can wade across it or swim across it, depending on the season (from mid of October to mid of June you can wade across it due to the shallow of the river, from 16 June to 14 October you cross by either options, to swim across it or to take our community boat, it will be arranged by our team).  We have a plastic bag to pack the luggage for taking across the river safely.  The trek is more up hills in the many different sorts of giant trees, a beautiful view of the deep jungle. Our guide and ranger will show and explain you about the jungle, like some vine we chop it the water drip, you can drink its water, some plants are edible and some are poisonous as well as some aromatic plants.  Around noon we take a break for lunch as a picnic.

Afternoon: Trek for one hour as a loop back to the river and then meet the same route, proceed to the Kavet tribal family. Relax for around 10 minutes, pack your stuffs or your most important belongings inside our plastic bags, from there you embark a local bamboo raft and do rafting for a 2.5 hrs journey where you can enjoy the scenery along the way the spotting of kingfisher, parrots and the local tribal village living in the surrounding or simply enjoy a swim in the clear water. We do not guarantee any sightseeing.

Upon arrival on the land, our vehicle awaits to bring Vuensai then take the ferry across Se San river and travel back to Banlung.
