This discovery tour is designed for you to discover the magical Laos in depth and the majestic temples of Angkor in Cambodia.
After your arrival at Vientiane, the capital of Laos, start your in-depth tour in Laos. Firstly fly to Sam Neua to see the beautiful countryside of terraced rice fields, forests and craggy karst mountains, and then drive to visit the interesting Central Market in Phonsavan and the impressive Plain of Jars, and move on to Luang Prabang where spend one day in Kuang Si Waterfall to soak up the beauty of the Kuang Si Waterfalls and swim in the crystal-clear waters and one day to experience elephant riding. The alms giving procession in the morning should not be missed in Laos’ culture. Fly to Siem Reap, and take two days to explore the splendid temples in Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom from the small circuit to the large circuit, and visit the unique floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake.

Enjoy some relaxing time in the morning, then transfer to airport for onward flight to Sam Neua. Upon arrive in Sam Neua, you will meet your local guide and then transfer to hotel. We will drive through beautiful countryside –terraced rice fields, forests, craggy karst mountains to get to our guesthouse in Vieng Xai. Check in hotel and enjoy some relaxing time in this small town of Vieng Xai.

Today, after an early breakfast, we visit the famous Vieng Xai Caves. From 1963 to 1973, at any given time, up to 23,000 people lived in the more than 450 caves, seeking shelter for their lives. This is also where the ‘Red Prince’ and Pathet Lao leaders lived during the “Secret War’ period when this area was heavily bombed. After viewing numerous caves we head back to our Sam Neua accommodation for the night.

Enjoy some relaxing time in the morning, then we will drive to Xieng Khuang in the afternoon. Upon arrival, check in hotel and rest of the day free at leisure.

This morning we have time to visit the interesting Central Market in Phonsavan, visit the MAG exhibition and Site 2 of the Plain of Jars before taking a short scenic trek to Site 3 via a Tai Dam and Lao Leum village. Following lunch we have a half day morning tour seeing the old capital of Muang Khoun and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hilltribe and Tai Dam people.

Visit the Quarry site on Phou Kang Mt., where giant jars were carved, then later transported over miles to get to the different Sites called the Plain of Jars.
Visit the Site 1 of the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are scattered all over the plateau. Then you will enjoy your leisure time to explore Xieng Khuang.

After breakfast, we drive to the Luang Prabang enjoying the splendid natural scenery of the mountains, the forest and landscape. The journey will take us over mountainous regions until we approach Luang Prabang .

Enjoy a city tour in Luang Prabang, the Wat Xiengthong which represents classical Laotian architecture. Stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham are both famous temples in Luang Prabnag.
In the afternoon, visit the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ many ethnic cultures then to visit Wat Mai. Climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River.
The tour ends after enjoy the Laos Traditional Ethnic Costume Show after diner.

In the morning, we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River to visit Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.
In the afternoon, we will take a short drive to visit Khuang Si water Fall. We then return to Luang Prabang.
Before check in hotel, visit Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts.
In the evening, a visit to the famous Night Market.

(OPTIONAL TOUR) After Breakfast we heading out of town with some sightseeing and an exciting elephant ride to/from Tad Sae Waterfall (or alternative route in dry season). we proceed to the Adventure and Elephant camp located 15 km out of town in the middle of unspoilt, natural green surroundings. After crossing the small river you are introduced to our Asian Elephants and venture on a 1hr scenic journey through forests, plantations and fields. This activity program provides you with a breathtaking and unique experience as you make your way through the forests and along the Nam Khan River up to the waterfalls of Tad Sae. (In dry season we ride a village trail) After visiting the waterfall, lunch is served before a relaxing 30 minute rafting tour along the river back to the Luang Prabang.

In the morning, travel in a Tuk Tuk to visit the ancient city Angkor Thom that was the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. The tour in Angkor Thom will starts from the South Gate and walk along the ancient city wall to see the lost temple of Prasat Chroung, then continue to the Bayon temple where you will be in a place surrounded by 216 gigantic stone faces, which fame as smile of Angkor. You will also visit the Terrace of the Elephants, the Royal Palace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
In the afternoon, continue the trip to one of the floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, the biggest Southeast Asia’s largest fresh water lake, and visit the fishing village Kampong Pluck.
In the evening, you can join the “Made in Cambodia Market” which is organized by Shinta Mani Hotel in every Saturday, a night market in front of hotel for selling local made specialties and art works.

Visit the one of the Seven Wonders of the World: Angkor Wat. Then continue the trip to the women temple called Banteay Srei, was build in 10th century, which is famous for its beautiful carvings.
